Go on a musical hike!

Experience the most musical corner of Saxony on a 5-day circular hike starting and finishing in Markneukirchen, the centre of musical instrument making. Switch off on the most beautiful hiking routes in the Vogtland, the Vogtland Panorama Trail, the German Unity Hiking Trail and the Erzgebirge-Vogtland ridge trail with its many views. And along the way, you will discover a new side to tradition and culture, such as mining, crafts and the steam railway.

Stage 1 - On the Vogtland Panorama Trail to Klingenthal (27 km)
Starting point is the municipality of Erlbach. Via a paved forest track, past the small and large Hüttenbach ponds. You reach the stage destination Klingenthal via the Vogtland Arena.

Stage 2 - On the hiking trail of German unity to Weitersglashütte (19 km)
The first section of today's route leads to the Aschberg. It is a 936m high mountain in the Saxon-Czech border region near Klingenthal in Vogtland, the summit of which is in the Czech Republic.

Stage 3 - On the ridge trail to Mühlleiten (14 km)
At the edge of the forest, you cross high spruce forest on near-natural paths past the 974m high Schneehübel into the Drei Bächel nature reserve.

Stage 4 - On the ridge trail to Mühlleiten (14 km)

The first leg of today's hike takes you to Weitersglashütte (19 km)
. Stage 4 - On the ridge trail to Schöneck (15 km) 
On the stage of this hiking trail, you get a beautiful view of the 856 m high topaz rock Schneckenstein.

Stage 5 - On the ridge trail to Adorf/Markneukirchen (19 km)
The last stage of the hike begins with a cosy forest path and a remarkable view of the Vogtland's hilltop landscape.
