to the owner Jana Schnitzlein and her team. The family-run hotel has been providing accommodation since 1976 and has been modernized several times since then. Our hotel in Oberwiesenthal is the starting point for wonderful discovery tours. You can wander barefoot through the woods, feel the moss between your toes and breathe in the fabulous scent of the forest.
The oldest stone house in Oberwiesenthal, a gem in the highest town in Germany, located at the foot of the Fichtelberg, the listed Rotgiesserhaus was once built in 1747 by Count von Schönburg. The foundry was in operation until the beginning of the 19th century, after which it was used as a commercial and residential building.
